opens the book by showing Ezekiel the heaven's glory in the temple

book closes by showing this glory shifting to earth
3. Ezekiel
is called the son of man, a title which is later assumed by Jesus

motif “Thus Saith the Sovereign Lord,” is a signature to each chapter

imageries of Gog and Magog appear in the NT
6. The
imagery of the feast of birds is told by Jesus too
7. The
imagery of the Lost sheep is retold by Jesus

imageries of white washed walls is retold by Jesus

12 gates are also found in the book of Ezekiel

is so much information about the temple and its restoration, Jesus focuses on
this important theme too

is a message of Living waters flowing from the temple of God, Jesus refers
himself as a source of living waters to the Samaritan woman, more about this is
found in the book of revelations

is resurrection of dry bones, Jesus performed actual resurrection, and promised
a global event for resurrection

messages of destruction cover Israel, small nations, big nations. This is
repeated by Jesus, also in the book of revelation

glory of the Lord is shown, Jesus also demonstrated the glory of his Father

Sabbath is emphasized, Jesus declares to be the Lord of the Sabbath
16. Ezekiel
was a living parable, he was often misunderstood, the same appeared to Jesus
17. Loving
your enemy requires not to rejoice when they succumbed into problems, Jesus
emphasized of this
18. There
is division of land to the 12 tribes of Israel, Jesus affirmed it by choosing
12 disciples and in the book of revelation this is repeated again
19. There
is a call to hear the message of the Lord, Jesus also says whoever that hears
my words is like a man who built his house on the rock
20. The
book climaxes with hope to the remnant, the same is seen in the last words of
Jesus. They were the epitome of hope. This hope is also found in the book of
Revelation.
