9th Exhibitions on Higher Education, Science, Technology and
Innovation
Diamond Jubilee Hall, Dar es Salaam
Wednesday 21st to Friday 23rd May, 2014
The Tanzania
Commission for Universities (TCU) wishes to inform all stakeholders
and the general public that, the 9th Exhibitions on Higher Education, Science and Technology will be held from 21st to 23rd May 2014 at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The lead organizers of these exhibitions are
the
Tanzania
Commission for Universities (TCU), the Ministry of Education and Vocational
Training (MoEVT) and Higher Education Institutions. Private Sector firms,
Regulatory, Professional and
Research Bodies within and outside Tanzania are
equally amongst the key stakeholders.
Theme: “Leveraging National Development through Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation”
Exhibitions’ Vision:
To become the leading national and regional state of the art exhibitions that will promote mutual understanding on quality assurance issues in higher education and
research outputs enhances participation, linkages/collaboration, and partnerships
between higher education institutions as well as Research and Development (R & D)
Institutions and the Industry for the benefits of all humanity.
Exhibitions’ Mission:
To create and promote equity, collaborations, partnerships networks and linkages between higher education institutions, industry, research and development
institutions for attainment of national development goals as well as for the regional and global socioeconomic development.
The Objectives of the Exhibitions:
o To create awareness
among the general
public about Higher
Education,
Professional Bodies , as well as Research and Development Institutions in the
country;
o To provide an opportunity for participating institutions to publicize their core functions and activities.
o To provide a platform for higher education institutions, R&D Institutions as
well
as Educational Business Companies to exchange ideas and experiences
related to their core functions thereby triggering competition that make them competitive
o Enable the public
and prospective
applicants for admission
into
Higher
Education Institutions within and outside Tanzania for the year 2014/2015
to
interact with Universities,
Regulatory Bodies and Research Institutions in order for them to make an informed choice;
o Sensitize the public on the application process through the Central Admission
System (CAS).
Participants:
Exhibitors include Higher Education Institutions from within and outside Tanzania, Private sector firms, Research Institutions, Quality Assurance Regulatory Bodies
and
Professional bodies.
Exhibitions Venue:
The 9th Higher Education Science and Technology and Innovation exhibitions will
take place at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Dar es Salaam.
Duration:
The exhibitions will take three days from 21st to 23rd May 2014.
Opening hours
Exhibitions will be open from 09:00hours to 17:00hours.
Expected Outcome:
· Existing networks, collaborations, linkages amongst the participating
institutions improved and new ones created.
· New opportunities available in higher education, R&D Institutions and the
Business firms realized and utilized
· The role
of higher education, R&D Institutions and
the
Business firms in
achieving national, regional and global development appreciated
· The general public aware about the Central Admission System (CAS)
Sponsorship:
We invite companies, Organizations and individuals who wish to sponsor the exhibitions
either financially or by other means. Upon some agreements, sponsors will be given a chance to advertise their business/ goods/services as well as a space
to
exhibit their business/ goods/services.

Registration Form:
Institutions wishing to participate at the 9th Higher Education, Science, Technology
and Innovation Exhibitions are required to fill in the form available on TCU website.
The
form must be downloaded and filled in.
The duly completed forms must be
scanned
and
e-mailed
