"I attribute my success to this; I never gave or took any excuse." Florence Nightingale
Florence Nightgale (1820-1910, a British social reformer and the founder of modern nursing, uttered the above words. Truly if we will ever leave a legacy behind us, there is something unusual that we must do. For Florence it was not give or accept unfounded excuses. This is what made her rise to pre-eminence. During the Cremean War, she took the leading role in helping wounded soldiers. I know there were certain people who gave all sorts of excuses for not helping the wounded soldiers, but she went ahead and gave a generous service. Out of such generous heart, her service has been perfected across generations to what we call today modern nursing profession. Finally will you entertain excuses today?
