Nelson fulfilled this ideal when he was prepared to face lifetime imprisonment or dying for the sake of all South Africans (whites and blacks). When he was out of prison and all South Africans regained their freedom, he was not putting himself in front of the picture. That is what we call 'ideal leadership.' On this kind of leadership, peoples' concerns' come first! So even when things will go wrong, they will not blame you. As I said earlier in one of the posts, that my viewers are either leaders or leaders in the making, let us follow where great leaders have trod!
