To get a scholarship for further studies is not like expecting your daily meal or like getting a sleep. You need to follow Jesus' principles: ASK-SEARCH-KNOCK =GIVEN-FIND-OPEN. The first equation is marked by taking a direct initiative to ask to relevant sources (professionals), then search to relevant sources (websites) and finally knock (apply consistently without giving up). In essence scholarships are not for the poor these days, but are for the most resilient. I remember a certain person who wrote 500 hundred letters of applications. Some responses took about 2 years to come! But finally he got his scholarship and went to study in USA. He is currently a professor at University of Botswana. The second equation is all about recognizing a scholarship that matters according to your career aspirations. Do not take anything for the sake of anything! You are not an 'anything person.' Last but not least, scholarship always occur to people who are already in the system. You could be already a student or a particular worker in a certain organisation, or you could be having a strong network of friends. So try the opportunity today!
